For patients seeking customized hormone replacement therapy, Robinson Drug and Compounding Center can facilitate an in-depth one-on-one consultation with you to assess your health issues.
Customized Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is the replacement of deficient hormones with hormones that are chemically identical to those that the body naturally produces, but which have declined due to aging or illness.
Customized HRT has improved the quality of life for millions of women and men who suffer from hormonal imbalance. The ideal process for achieving hormonal balance includes an assessment of hormone levels and complete evaluation of signs and symptoms, followed by replacement of the deficient hormones in the most appropriate dose via the most effective route for each individual, and monitoring to fine tune the therapy.
Our compounding pharmacist, Dr. John Kim, PharmD, is board certified in anti-aging medicine and functional medicine. Dr. Kim can evaluate and discuss all laboratory test results (ie. salivary hormone test, blood test, nutritional evaluation report), current medical conditions, and medication/nutritional supplements. Initial consultation is one hour and there is a fee for this service.
At Robinson Drug and Compounding Center, we offer salivary hormone testing. Saliva testing is a convenient, inexpensive, and above all, accurate means of testing steroid hormones. Scientific studies have shown a strong correlation between steroid hormone levels in saliva and the amount of hormone in the blood that is active or “bioavailable.” Saliva testing can be done anywhere anytime and at multiple times during the day. In addition, hormones in saliva are exceptionally stable and can be stored at room temperature for up to a week without affecting the accuracy of the result. This offers maximum flexibility in sample collection and shipment.
